Abstract
Islamic bank is a financial institution that applies the concept of Sharia management in its operational activities including human resource management. This research aimed to examine: 1) The effect of competency on Islamic bank employees' Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), 2). The effect of competency on Islamic bank employees' performance, and 3). The effect of organizational citizenship behavior on Islamic bank employees' performance. 4). The effect of competency on Islamic bank employees' performance mediates by Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). This study's population consisted of 941 workers from Islamic banks in Pekanbaru, with a sample size of 273 persons selected using the Krejcie-Morgan formula. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The data in this research was analyzed used Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS). According to this study, competency has no significant effect on Islamic bank performance, Competency has positive and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) has a positive and significant effect on Islamic bank Employee’s performance, and There is no mediation effect from OCB on the influence of Competency on Islamic bank Employee’s performance.
