Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the Village Head in the implementation of infrastructure development in Batu Ampar Village, Kemuning District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, as well as to determine the inhibiting factors for the role of the Village Head in implementing infrastructure development in Batu Ampar Village, Kemuning District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This type of research is classified as descriptive-qualitative research. Data collection uses interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out descriptively with a qualitative approach. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Village Head has quite a role in the implementation of infrastructure development in Batu Ampar Village, Kemuning District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, which is carried out by preparing village development plans, coordinating the implementation of village development, supervising the implementation of village development, and conveying accountability for the implementation of village development; and the inhibiting factors for the role of the Village Head in implementing infrastructure development in Batu Ampar Village, Kemuning District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, namely the lack of available human resources who have the ability to be able to support the preparation of village development plans, as well as the lack of participation from community elements in the Village Musrenbang.
