Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes mathematics for class VIIB SMP Alkaromah Aidarusy Sibiruang using the sepaga puzzle tool has a subject consisting of 18 students, namely 10 male students and 8 female students with classroom action research (CAR) conducted in 2 cycles. The data collection instrument consisted of observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. Furthermore, the technical analysis of the data carried out is the analysis of the results of observations and analysis of learning outcomes. Based on the observation sheet at each meeting, it shows that there is an improvement in the learning process from the first meeting of cycle 1 so that the last meeting is in cycle 2. From the results of the student learning test there is an increase in the number of students who achieve the standard of minimum completeness on the basic score of 5 students or 27,8%, while the results of the 1st test were 10 students or 55,6% and the second daily test was 16 people or 88,9%. Based on the average student learning outcomes, the basic score is 54,8, daily test 1 is 62,2 and daily test 2 is 78,3. So it can be concluded that the application of using the sepaega puzzle teaching tool can improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class students VIIB SMP Alkaromah Aidarusy Sibiruang .
