Abstract

Inequality in development, especially in rural areas, occurs in Sungai Apit District, especially in the production structure and infrastructure which causes the emergence of underdeveloped or underdeveloped villages. Sungai Apit sub-district also has a village structure that extends along the coastline, with the sub-district capital being to the west of the sub-district. this makes it difficult for some villages to receive basic needs, social services, administrative services and others. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative using analytical techniques, typology preparation based on criteria and scores, identification of growth center villages based on the rules of the Directorate General of Human Settlement, Department of Public Works. SWOT analysis to identify strategies and policies for the development of Growth Center Villages. The results showed that as many as 14 villages in Sungai Apit District were still classified as transitional villages. A total of 4 villages meet the criteria as Village Development Center Selected Areas (KTP2D), namely Mengkapal Village, Penyengat Village, Sungai Rawa Village, and Tanjung Kuras Village which will then be selected as Growth Center Villages. Based on the assessment of the determination of the Center for Growth Village, Mengkapan Village with a score of 53.05 and Sungai Rawa Village with a score of 52.4 are classified as Areas with the Potential to become a Growth Center Village (DPP). Based on the SWOT Analysis Sungai Rawa Village and Mengkapan Village are potential villages in the plantation and marine products sector, with the government still needing assistance to improve human resources and address various environmental problems in coastal areas.
