Abstract
The problem that often occurs in the field of production wells using an artificial lift type beam type pumping unit with an artificial lift sucker rod pump (SRP) type is that oil wells often experience pump failure resulting in decreased production. Duri oil field heavy oil field operation Duri X has 1200 wells with a production of 19,000 BOPD. Of the 1,200 wells in the heavy oil durian oil field, there are tens or even hundreds of wells that have problems experiencing damage to the sucker rod pump. Based on the results of data from automatic well testing, tubing pressure survey, operating routine duty checklist and build-up pressure method, there are 2 wells that have experienced a decrease in production and Loss of production obtained from the results of the build up pressure analysis, namely well X and well Y. Well X has a ¼” sucker rod pump size with a production capacity of 100-200 BFPD and the last production of well X is 1.6 BOPD and after replacing the sucker rod pump with a size the same, namely ¼” production for well X rose to 61 BOPD. Then the Y well has a sucker rod pump size of ¾" with a production capacity of 100-500 BFPD and the final production for the Y well is 0.8 BOPD and after replacing the sucker rod pump with the same size, namely ¾" the production for the Y well rose to 88.0 BOPD.
