Abstract
Child-friendly schools are a form of government program to make schools safe, clean, caring and environmentally cultured, in order to guarantee and protect children's rights and protect children at school from all kinds of discrimination and violence at school. Students' perceptions of child-friendly schools will certainly determine whether the implementation of child-friendly schools can make children better or vice versa. This study aims to find out how students perceive child-friendly schools in SMP Negeri 6 Bekalar Village. This study uses a quantitative research method with a survey approach. The instrument is a questionnaire distributed to 80 students who were then divided into 40 boys and 40 girls at SMPN 6 Bekalar Village. The results of this study show that student perceptions (variable X) of child-friendly schools (variable Y) are very good and SMPN 6 Desa Bekalar has implemented a child-friendly school program well, as evidenced by the R Square value of 0.207 which means that 20.7 % of the Y variable is influenced by X (Student Perception) and the other 79.3% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
