Abstract

This study aims to compare the financial performance of pharmaceuticalcompanies before Covid-19 (2017-2918) and during the Covid-19 period (2019-2020) by using financial ratios. In this case, the financial ratios used consist ofReturn On Equity (ROE), Return On Assets (ROA), Gross Profit Margin (GPM),Net Profit Margin (NPM), Price to Book Value (PBV). The data in this study wereobtained from the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The sampling method is purposivesampling, namely sampling with certain considerations. The sample in this studybased on the criteria iseight companies, namely: PT Darya-Varia LaboratoriaTbk, PT Indofarma Tbk, PT Kimia Farma Tbk, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk, PT MerckTbk,PTPyridamFarmaTbk,PT SidoMunculTbk,PTTempo ScanPacificTbk. From the of Return On Equity (ROE), Return On Assets (ROA), Gross Profit Margin (GPM) Net Profit Margin (NPM) Price to Book Value (PBV) that the researchers used, there was no significant difference between the financial performance of pharmaceutial companies listed on the IDX during the pre Covid-19 period (2017-2018) and during the Covid-19 period (2019-2020).
