Abstract

This research aims to describe how the implementation of dance extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection consisted of 14 people consisting of 1 coach and 13 member students who took part in the extracurricular dance offering at Pekanbaru 1 Public High School which is on Jalan Sultan Syarif Oasim Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The theory used in this research is Wildan Zulkarnain (2022:54 ). The data analysis technique used in this study is data reduction, display or presentation of data, and drawing conclusions on data verification. From the analysis of the findings in the field, it was concluded that the material taught in extracurricular activities was offering tar. The method used is the lecture and demonstration method. The facilities and infrastructure used in carrying out extracurricular activities are an art room, speakers and mobile phones. The assessment used by the dance extracurricular coach at SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru, namely research at each meeting and at the end of the training process was given qualitatively in the form of very good (A), Good (B), Enough(C), and Less (D).
