Abstract

Smart trash can prototype perform remote monitoring when the trash can is full by using telegram notifications. The research method used in this study is the Protptyping method. Implementation is carried out during daily activities. smart bins that have doors for trash cans, and in the trash can there is an ultrasonic sensor that detects the presence of humans with a maximum distance of 50 cm, if the garbage capacity is full and the lid of the trash can will not open. Then if the trash can is full, it will automatically send a telegram notification to the cleaners. This tool works with the concept of the internet of things where all the hardware used is made into a network with a Nodemcu microcontroller. Then the configuration of tools and systems using the Ardiuno IDE 1.6.5 software is carried out. The ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 detects a distance of a maximum of 50 cm, the lid of the trash can will open automatically, and it closes automatically. When the trash can is full, and send a notification to the cleaner via TELEGRAM. Janitors receive a notification via TELEGRAM if the bins are well filled. The HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor can be used as a measure of bin capacity and distance detection. The smart bin uses shilead mp3, servo motor, speaker, telegram as its output.
