Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving Chlorella sp. which were cultured using leachate with different densities on survival and growth of baung fish larvae (Hemibagrus nemurus). The materials used in this study were baung fish larvae aged 4 days and Chlorella sp. which has been cultured using pure leachate with a concentration of 10%/L water. The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, ie P1 = density of Chlorella sp. 180×104 cells/mL, P2 = density of Chlorella sp. 190×104 cells/mL, P3 = density of Chlorella sp. 200×104 cells/mL, P4 = density of Chlorella sp. 210×104 cells/mL and P5 = density of Chlorella sp. 220×104 cells/mL. The results showed the best results in the P2 treatment with the density of Chlorella sp. 190×104 cells/mL, resulting in a survival rate of baung fish larvae of 79.00%. The average absolute weight growth was 22.33 mg and the absolute length growth was 3.67 mm and the daily growth rate was 3.05%. The water quality in this study supports the maintenance of baung fish larvae with temperatures ranging from 26-28oC, pH 5.25-6.50, dissolved oxygen content between 4.8-5.9 mg/L, while the ammonia content is 0.04- 0.30mg/L.
