Abstract

This study was entitled to determine the effect of feeding lamtoro leaves and detritus on the survival and growth of fish fry quail. The test fish used were 2 months old quail fry, 3cm long and weighing 3.5 grams per tail. The test feed was in the form of artificial pellets with detritus and lamtoro leaves as raw materials. The place for raising fish in this study was in the form of 15 cage nets measuring 100 x 100 x 100 (cm). The method used was a completely randomized design experiment (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely: (P1) = 30% lamtoro leaves + 70% detritus, (P2) = 40% lamtoro leaves + 60% detritus, (P3) = lamtoro leaves 50% + 50% detritus, (P4) = 60% lamtoro leaves + 40% detritus and (P5) = 70% lamtoro leaves + 30% detritus. From the results of the research conducted, it was obtained that the highest average survival rate was at P1, namely 86.67%, absolute weight growth of 1.52 g, absolute length growth of 1.65 cm, daily growth rate of 5.07% and feed conversion of 1.70 . Water quality parameters are good enough for the life of quail fry with temperature 28-32oC, pH 6-7, DO 5.2-5.8 ppm, ammonia 0.39-0.54 ppm, depth 1-1.5 m and brightness water that is 20-50 cm.
