Abstract
The study is motivated by the problem of low reading ability, while the Amtsilati method is a very important method to apply because it has a good impact on students’ reading abilities. Because of this problem, the researcher is interested to conduct a study entitled the influence of Amtsilati Method on students’ Abilities in reading the Yellow Book in grade 2 at the Al-Wustho Salafiyah Babussalam Islamic boarding school in Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The problem formulation of the the study is whether there is an influence of Amtsilati Method on students’ abilities in reading the Yellow Book in grade 2 at the Al-Wustho Salafiyah Babussalam Islamic Boarding School in Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of Amtsilati method on students’ abilities in reading the Yellow Book in grade 2 at the Al-Wustho Salafiyah Babussalam Islamic Boarding School in Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The sample of this study consists of 30 students. From the results of simple linear regression correlation analysis, it is known that a significance value is less than 0.05, or 0.007 < 0.05, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. It means that there is a significant influence of the Amtsilati Method on the students’ Ability in reading the Yellow Book in Grade 2 at the Al-Wustho Salafiyah Babussalam Islamic boarding school. The level of the influence is 0.233 or 23.3%, which lies in the range of 0.20 - 0.399, it means that the level of influence is weak. In conclusion, the influence of Amtsilati method on students’ abilities in reading the yellow book is weak.
