Abstract
Technology is very much needed nowadays, with technology mostly everything can be done easily. The purpose of this research is to design and build a door lock system based on internet of things (iot) using fingerprint and telegram notification applications that can be controlled by a smartphone that has been adjusted as an access control method. It designed a door lock system prototype consisting of an ESP8266, solenoid lock, relay module, buzzer and sensor magnet switch (reed switch). Telegram notifications are able to provide information to users, so that they can inform if someone opens the door forcibly. When the door is open the magnetic sensor switch (reed switch) and the ESP8266 provide sensor data information that is sent to the telegram application. To open the door, a puss button is made on the fingerprint application which functions to open and close the lock using a solenoid lock. The results obtained are a door lock system that can be controlled via a fingerprint application that can also send notifications to the telegram application. The door lock system makes it easier for the person in charge of security to open and open the door and reduce the duplication of the office door lock and can see if someone is trying to enter.
