Abstract

The increasing need for oil and gas production is due to the high demand for supply in each country which makes oil and gas production must continue to rise in order to balance this demand. In producing gas, consumers must first get it because gas is not as flexible as oil. Unfortunately, in an effort to increase gas production, there are a number of challenges and problems that actually make gas production decrease. One of them is the accumulation of liquid or liquid in gas production wells which causes the gas flow rate to be below the critical flow rate of gas, which is the beginning of liquid loading. Handling liquid loading by separating gases containing liquids so that only pure gas will be left behind. In this study, liquid loading handling will focus on using the hydraulic jet pump method in prosper. The results of the study obtained liquid loading occurred due to the production of gas flow rate (0.21 MMSCFD) below the critical gas flow rate (1.4 MMSCFD). Countermeasures were carried out using the hydraulic jet pump method so that the amount of gas production rate of 6.24 MMSCFD was obtained. With the value of the current production rate greater than the critical gas flow rate, liquid loading no longer occurs.
