Abstract
Pekanbaru City is one of the big cities that has experienced development and development in various fields. One of the important developments being implemented is the construction of the transportation system. This is because transportation is the main means that can facilitate all ongoing functions and activities. Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport which is the main gateway for air transportation in Pekanbaru, where this airport has a strategic role in domestic and regional transportation services. The location of this research was carried out at Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport Pekanbaru. The method of observation and measurement used in analyzing taxi waiting times was carried out by conducting a field survey. The analysis in this study are: analysis of waiting time, average waiting time and analysis of the causes of taxi waiting times at Sultan Syarif Kasim II airport. The results showed that the waiting time for each taxi operating at Sultan Syarif Qasim II Airport Pekanbaru. On Wednesday it produces an average waiting time of 90.2 minutes and on Friday it produces an average waiting time of 81.07 minutes and on Sunday it produces a waiting time of 79.7 minutes. The smallest average waiting time occurs in taxi no 025 with an average waiting time of 61.0 minutes and the largest average waiting time is found in taxi no 044 with a waiting time of 107.3 minutes. The waiting time for taxis to get passengers is influenced by several things, such as (1) the arrival of the taxi to the airport that is not right with the arrival time of the plane, (2) the length and distance of the passenger delivery by the taxi (3) the length of time for passengers to unload goods from the baggage. (4) there is a flight delay which causes the arrival time of the plane to be delayed so that the taxi waiting time becomes longer.
