Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of ketapang leaf compost and Nasa POC to increase the growth and production of mustard greens. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11 No. 113, Perhentian Marpoyan, Air cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 2 months starting from July to August 2022. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was ketapang leaf compost (K) consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0, 15, 30 and 45 g per polybag. The second factor was the Nasa POC concentration (P) consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0, 3, 6 and 9 ml per l of water. There were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications so there were 48 experimental units. Each plot contains 6 plants and 3 plants are used as observation samples so that the total plant is 288 plants. Parameters observed were: plant height, number of leaves, plant fresh weight, economic wet weight, dry weight and root volume. Observational data for each parameter were analyzed for variance and further tested for Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is concluded that the interaction of applying ketapang leaf compost and POC Nasa has a significant effect on all observation parameters, namely plant height, number of leaves, plant fresh weight, economic wet weight, dry weight and root volume. The best treatment was a dose of 45 g per polybag and a Nasa POC concentration of 9 ml per l water. The main effect of the dose of ketapang leaf compost was significant on all observation parameters, where the best treatment was a dose of 45 g per polybag. The main effect of Nasa's POC concentration is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is a concentration of 9 ml per l of water.
