Abstract

This research entitled Application of Soil Conditioner Fertilizer and TSP on the Growth and Production of Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.). Under the guidance of Mrs. Ir. Hj. T. Rosmawaty, M.Sc. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, for four months from June to September 2022. The aim of the study was to determine the interaction effect of Soil Conditioner and TSP applications on the growth and production of tomato plants. The design used was a completely randomized factorial design consisting of two factors. The first factor was Soil Conditioner (S) consisting of 4 levels namely no treatment, 0.8 ml, 1.2 ml, 1.6 ml per liter of water and the second factor was TSP (P) consisting of 4 levels namely no treatment, 2 .5 g, 5 g, 7.5 g per plant . The parameters observed were plant height, productive branches, age at the start of flowering, number of fruits planted, age at harvest, weight of fresh fruit planted, and amount of fruit left over. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with a follow-up test for Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Soil Conditioner and TSP had a significant effect on the observed parameters of plant height, productive branches, number of fruit planted, fresh fruit weight planted, and number of fruit leftovers and had no significant effect on the age at which flowering began and age at harvest. The best treatment (S3P3). The effect of the main Soil Conditioner has a significant effect on parameter observations, with the best treatment being 1.6 ml/l air. The main effect of TSP significantly affected the observed parameters, with the best treatment being 7.5 g/plant.
