Abstract

Technological developments that can improve the quality of education, one of the technologies is Augmented Reality which can be used as a medium for learning the five human senses. Generally the learning process in schools still uses books and the delivery of material from teachers which can cause students difficulties in learning material from the five human senses. The application of Augmented Reality can help the teaching and learning process because it can display 3- dimensional objects from the human senses. To make this Augmented Reality learning application use Unity 3D software and the ARCore SDK library. The development of this application uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. The purpose of this application is as an interesting learning medium regarding the five human senses that will be used at SMAN Binsus Dumai. Based on the test results, 3D objects can appear at a distance of 5 cm to 250 cm, at light intensities above 3 lux and tracking objects on plain walls, textured carpet objects and uneven objects. Based on user testing, a score of 85% was obtained with a total of 30 respondents, so this application can be implemented as a medium for learning the five human senses.
