Abstract

This study aims to develop learning tools with Contextual Teaching and Learning on quadrilateral material that is valid and practical. The learning tools developed are in the form of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD). In this case the researcher followed the 4D development research steps (define, design, develop, disseminate) which in general the researcher started from problem identification obtained from the results of interviews and observations with the mathematics teacher. Then do product design according to KI, KD, Competency Achievement Indicators to be achieved after doing product design. The data analysis technique used in this study was quantitative data analysis and qualitative data. The qualitative data were obtained in the form of comments and product improvement suggestions generated from all validators and then analyzed and described descriptively qualitatively to revise the product being developed. Then quantitative data were obtained from the scores of validators and math teachers. The validation of learning tools was carried out by 3 validators consisting of 2 mathematics education lecturers at Riau Islamic University and 1 mathematics teacher at SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu. The results of the data obtained from the validity value of the RPP as a whole produce an average value of 66.75 with a very valid category (with a maximum ideal score of 76), and the overall validity value of LKPD produces an average value of 105.92 with a very valid category (with a maximum ideal score of 120). At the time of the trial the researcher also gave observation questionnaires for observation of implementation, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires then the practicality value was seen from the observation of implementation with a score of 80 with the very implemented or very practical category (with a maximum ideal score of 88), the student response value was 59.6 with the strongly agree category (with a maximum ideal score of 68), the teacher's response value is 42 with a very practical category (with a maximum ideal score of 48). Based on the results of research and development of learning tools based on a contextual approach (Contextual Teaching and Learning) for class VII SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu which has been tested for validity and is very practical.
