Abstract
The village consultative body is a body that functions to accommodate and channel community aspirations, agree on village regulations, and supervise the performance of village chiefs. The function of the village consultative body is very crucial in the community and the formation of the village, the village consultative body is a supervisory body in the progress of infrastructure in the village, besides that the consultative body is also one of the village governance arrangements. The purpose of this Bapekam research is to find out how the results of the Bapekam function in the Bukit Agung village, Kerinci Kan sub-district, Siak district and to find out what obstacles are faced in carrying out development and evaluate Bapekam's functions. in this study the authors used a type of qualitative research and used descriptive methods. Qualitative methods are research that tries to provide as accurate an overview as possible about a particular individual, situation, or group. The results of this study are that the implementation of Bapekam's functions has not been carried out properly, this is because Bapekam still does not understand its duties and functions, besides that Bapekam also does not have the time because being a member of Bapekam is only a side job.
