Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine statistically the effect of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, dividend policy, asset structure, profitability, company growth and business risk on debt policy. The population in this study are all non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), totaling 747 companies. The sample method used is purposive sampling. Purposive sampling, in order to obtain as many as 27 companies with a period of 5 years, then the total data amounted to 135 observational data. The type of data used is secondary data sourced from the company's annual report. Data collection techniques with documentation. Data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results showed that, dividend policy, profitability, company growth and business risk have an effect on debt policy, while managerial ownership, institutional ownership and asset structure have no effect on debt policy.
