Abstract

Social and environmental responsibility is better known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). CSR aims to make the community feel the company's presence and be beneficial in the company's environment. From a social standpoint, the presence of a company in an area must be able to provide benefits in various social activities including building infrastructure, providing jobs, participating in the education, health, social and economic fields by providing material and other assistance to the community around the company. . CSR in Indonesia is coercive because in Article 74 paragraphs 1 and 2 it expressly states that it is an obligation for the company. Even though the rules regarding CSR are clear, much has been read in various media about companies that violate them and do not comply. Some companies are still at odds with the community around the company. It is the duty of the central and regional governments to monitor company activities that violate the rules in CSR and have an impact on society. The main problem of research is how is the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility of PT. Agung Toyota Dumai to the people in South Dumai District, Dumai City, and What are the obstacles PT. Agung Toyota Dumai in carrying out Corporate Social Responsibility. While the research method used is this type of research is included in the observational research group, namely research that observes and describes things that occur both social and natural phenomena, within a certain time span, and researchers cannot control these phenomena. In obtaining data, the authors used data collection methods in the form of interviews and direct visits to the field. The results of the author's research are the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility of PT. Agung Toyota Dumai for the community in South Dumai District, Dumai City has been carried out including the program of providing basic necessities, masks, oxygen cylinders and PT. Agung Toyota Dumai in carrying out Corporate Social Responsibility is the lack of understanding of CSR from employees of PT. Agung Toyota Dumai, the lack of concern for the beneficiaries of CSR, and the lack of coordination between PT. Agung Toyota Dumai with the Community.
