Abstract

A Thesis Biology Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Islamic University of Riau Main supervisor: Sepita Ferazona, S.Pd., M.Pd Email: ervitaanjani12@gmail.com ABSTRACT This study aims to develop critical thinking skills through online learning of Biology Respiration System Materials for Class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Pinggir Academic Year 2021/2022 in the form of quantitative research with descriptive analysis. The research instrument used questionnaires and interviews. Questionnaires were distributed to 85 students of Class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Pinggir and 1 teacher of biology. Based on research conducted on students' critical thinking skills through online learning Biology on the respiratory system material for Class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Pinggir for the 2021/2022 academic year, it can be concluded that critical thinking skills are based on test scores on the respiratory system material with an average score. of 41.41 in the medium category. Then the second conclusion is the ability to think critically based on all critical thinking indikators on the respiratory system material with an average percentage of 39.97% in the medium category. With details based on focus indikators, namely 48.25% in the "Medium" category, argument indikators, namely 30.67% in the "Medium" category, conclusion indikators 35.33% in "Medium", situation indikators, namely 35.5% in the "Medium" category. clarity is 37.75% "Medium", the follow-up indikator is 52.33% "Medium".
