Abstract
The film Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga contains a lot of brotherly values, especially from the side of the Dominic Toretto family, which tells about Dominic Toretto's old wounds towards his younger brother, and they are hostile to each other. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the values of brotherhood contained in the film Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga.Qualitative research methods with Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic analysis approach were used in the study. The data sources used are scenes and dialogues in the movie Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga. Data analysis technique uses descriptive method with an intrinsic approach. Source triangulation is used as a data validation technique in research.The values of brotherhood contained in the film Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga are closeness (affection, emotional support, and acceptance), conflict (quarrels, competition and hostility), and sibling rivalry that occurs because Jakob feels alive. in the shadow of her brother. The message conveyed by this film to the audience is to instill conscientiousness, be careful, and practice controlling emotions when judging something, so that it will not have a negative impact on oneself or others, especially causing feelings of guilt and regret. Instill an honest and open attitude to each other in all problems that occur between family members, so that there will be no competition or hostility between siblings in the future. Do not hate, envy, and antagonize each other, and do not commit psychological violence on children by confining or isolating children away from their friendship environment.
