Abstract

Bearing is one of the components that serves to support the load shaft, so that the alternating friction can take place smoothly, safely and with a long service life. Bearings must be sturdy enough to allow the shaft to run properly. In its use in the field, we often encounter damage to the screw press bearings, wear and tear on the rolling bearings, wear on the bearing rings and also on the inner rings of the bearings, which can result in the cessation of palm fruit processing operations, therefore researchers conducted an analysis of damage to screw press bearings. . The bearing type is FAG X-Life 29320-E1 Germany with Dynamic equivalent load (P) 2669.48 N, bearing life (L10) 5,358,403.6 revolutions, from The bearing wear which is still in rotation is changed to hours, then the bearing life in operating hours (Lh) is 5,953.78 hours, operating time is 8.26 months, bearing life in 90% reliability is 24.78 months. Grease Age 11.11 months, and the lubrication time on bearings is 4.7 months. If the bearing is not lubricated within 4.7 months, there will be damage to the bearing such as wear and tear on the rolling bearing, bearing cage and also the bearing inner ring.
