Abstract
The acceleration of infrastructure development carried out by the government is a development in the era of global industrialization, such as the construction industry which provides construction services and has a significant role in current development. Work in the construction sector is a job that has a fairly high risk of work accidents. Data from the Ministry of Manpower shows that in the second quarter of 2020 there were 3,174 work accident cases in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to identify the hazards that cause work accidents and plan risk control on the preservation project for Jalan Duri-Kandis-Simpang Palas-Siak II Pekanbaru. The method in this study uses the HIRARC method, which is a series of methods to identify hazards in a job, then make a risk assessment and carry out risk control for the job. Data obtained by sending questionnaires to 3 respondents. The data taken from the 3 respondents are work items that have a high dominant risk above 50%. The results showed that in the Duri-Kandis-Simpang Palas-Siak II Pekanbaru Road preservation project, there were 11 work items that had a high dominant risk above 50%, while 4 work items were below 50%. The dominant high risks in the preservation work for Jalan Duri – Kandis – Simpang Palas – Siak II Pekanbaru are AC-BC Work, CAP Excavation Work (Hot Asphalt Mixture), AC-WC Work, Melted Asphalt Work, CAP Work (Hot Asphalt Mixture). , S Class Work, AC-BC Asphalt Work, DS 3 Channel Work, Class S Shoulder Clearing Work, AC-WC Asphalt Work, Gabion Installation Work. Risk control carried out is administrative control in the form of supervision and warnings, providing training to workers regarding the importance of OHS, as well as carrying out periodic maintenance of work equipment. In addition, workers are required to wear personal protective equipment when working in the field.
