Abstract

Biology Study Program Thesis, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Islamic University of Riau Advisor: Nurul Fauziah S.Pd., M.Pd ABSTRACT This study aims to find out how the teacher's pedagogic competence relates to the biology learning outcomes of class X SMAN 3 Tualang. This research is a type of descriptive research, the method used in this research is the correlational method. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sampling technique. The results of data analysis correlation coefficient (rcount) of 0.69 with a significant level of 5% has a correlation in the low category. From testing the hypothesis obtained tcount (9.78) > ttable (1.97). This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then from the results of the analysis the coefficient of determination is obtained by 42% meaning that the pedagogic competency variable (X) makes a positive contribution to the learning outcomes (Y) obtained by students by 42% while 58% is determined by other variables or factors that influence student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that "There is a relationship between pedagogical competency and Biology learning outcomes in class X SMAN 3 Tualang, Siak Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year with a high category of 0.65"
