Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of research on ecofeminism, especially at UIR FKIP. It is important to introduce ecofeminism to add insight into literary theory. The problem in this research is: how is the process of ecofeminism in the novel Sebening Cinta Ayah by Ayumi Maulida. This study aims to describe, analyze, interpret and conclude ecofeminism in Ayumi Maulida's novel Sebening Cinta Ayah. This study uses Endraswara's theory (2016) which includes spiritual ecofeminism, transformative ecofeminism, natural ecofeminism and ecofeminism as behavioral ethics. This study uses a descriptive method, and the data from this study are in the form of words, phrases, clauses, sentences and paragraphs that contain ecofeminism in them. The source of the data in this study was Ayumi Maulida's Sebening Cinta Ayah, a novel published in 2013 by the Mozaik publisher with 127 pages. The data collection technique in this study used a hermeneutic technique. This research shows that there is a school of ecofeminism in Ayumi Maulida's novel Sebening Cinta Ayah, found 6 data of spiritual ecofeminism and 11 data of natural ecofeminism. Thus, the most dominant eco-feminism is natural eco-feminism, because basically women's characteristics such as caring for and nurturing become a benchmark for women in preserving their environment (nature). Woman and nature work together as partners. Nature is said to be the source of life, and women have special skills to manage nature, and are considered to be the custodians of life.
