Abstract

Technology is a tool that can be used by its users to make it easier to meet their respective needs. The development of information and communication technology has developed rapidly in all fields, one of which is Augmented Reality (AR). Classification is a process related to categorization. Classification is a way that can help understand diversity better. An example of the benefits of classification is that it helps to study different types of plants and animals, their features, similarities and differences. With the use of AR technology in the introduction of furniture classification, it is hoped that it can help understand the diversity better of the differences in each furniture in the form of threedimensional (3D) image objects and the public can see directly the placement of 3D furniture objects in the room as desired without having to bother moving the original object, because it is enough just with virtual objects that represent the form of real objects. The application is made with unity using a 3D display with markeless techniques and using the ARCore SDk library. Based on tests collected at a distance of 5cm to 200 cm, 3D animations can appear, and animations can be displayed outside or indoors and can track locations anywhere on the condition that they have sufficient light intensity above 0 lux of light intensity. Based on the test results, users get a score of 88.71% so that the application can be implemented to help distinguish furniture classifications.
