Abstract

Pasir Tiku Beach is a tour that will be developed with the principles of Community Based Tourism (CBT). Community Based Tourism (CBT) is the development of tourist destinations by empowering local communities who pay attention to environmental, social and cultural aspects of sustainability. This program seeks to build community skills and preserve the environment. This study aims to determine the direction of tourism based on Community Based Tourism (CBT) principles in the Pasir Tiku Beach Tourism area. There are several problems in the tourist area of Pasir Tiku Beach, namely the lack of tourism supporting infrastructure at Pasir Tiku Beach, the lack of public knowledge in developing tourism potential, and the lack of human resources in the tourism sector. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to identify the existing conditions of tourism, the application of Community Based Tourism (CBT) principles and the driving factors inhibiting the Psir Tiku Beach Tourism area. The Pasir Tiku Beach Tourism Area uses a SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that facilities and infrastructure in the Pasir Tiku Beach tourism area are still not available, community participation and empowerment are going well, and there are still several inhibiting factors in the Pasir Tiku Beach tourist area. Meanwhile, based on the SWOT analysis obtained directions for developing tourism based on Community Based Tourism (CBT) principles in the Pasir Tiku Beach Tourism area, namely (1) maintaining the Characteristics of Pasir Tiku Beach Tourism so that it can attract tourists to visit, (2) Maintaining Local Character and Culture Unique, (3) Addition of Supporting Infrastructure for Pasir Tiku Beach Tourism Activities, (4) Involve community members in decision making, (5) There is Certainty for Local Communities to Receive Benefits from Tourism Activities, (6) Ensuring Environmental Sustainability, (7) Improving Quality Community Life in the Pasir Tiku Beach Tourism Area, (8) Improving the Community's Capacity About the Management of Pasir Tiku Beach Tourism in order to Improve Community Skills and Creativity.
