Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how multicultural education in shaping interreligious size in class IB students at SDN 002 Simpang Tiga Teluk Kuantan. This research design uses a qualitative approach and the method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach which is carried out in 3 stages: first, the implementation of the research (observation, interviews, documentation). Second, data validity (source triangulation, technique triangulation, time triangulation). Third, the results of the study, the research subjects were, 1 teacher (the homeroom teacher for class IB) and 5 students in class IB. Data collection techniques and research instruments include observation sheets, interview guidelines and document review, data analysis using an interactive analysis model from Miles and Huberman. The results showed that multicultural education in shaping inter-religious size for class IB students at SDN 002 Simpang Tiga Teluk Kuantan could be said to be "good". This is evidenced from the results of interviews, observation activities and document review in which the teacher always pays attention to the individual of each student, and respects the dignity, dignity and freedom of thought in expressing opinions, as well as students who are able to manage the learning environment. This is of course strongly supported by the school's goal of creating a multicultural environment, where students are accustomed to differences in the school environment but they still live side by side and in harmony
