Abstract
The purpose of this research was to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength to volleyball smash skills in Simpati Jaya Desa Muara Langsat Kecamatan Sentajo Raya. The type of this research is correlation. The population in this study were the Simpati Jaya Team players, Muara Langsat Village, Sentajo Raya District, totaling 18 people, the sampling technique used was total sampling so that the sample in this study amounted to 18 people. The research instrument used was a push up test and a volleyball smash test. The data analysis technique used is the correlation value test and calculate the contribution value. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: There is a contribution of arm muscle strength to volleyball smash skills in Simpati Jaya Desa Muara Langsat Kecamatan Sentajo Raya with a value of rcount = 0.549 > rtable = 0.468 and a contribution value of 30.14 %.
