Abstract

The principle of politeness in language as an effort to avoid conflict between speakers and interlocutors in the communication process. politeness Language is a speech that uses words, intonation, and sentences that do not harm the partner said. Problems in this research is how the principle of language politeness in the Mata Najwa program is Trans 7 Television Station?. The purpose of this research is to describe, analyze, and interpret the politeness principles in deep language Mata Najwa's program on Trans 7 Televisa Station. The theory that the writer uses is Rahardi's politeness principle theory (2005). This data source is the whole the story of the host and guest star in the Mata Najwa program on the theme End of Year Guyub at Trans 7 Televisa Station. The method used is descriptive method. The technique that the author uses in this study is documentation techniques, listening techniques, note-taking techniques. The research results show there were 593 utterances in the Mata Najwa program on Trans 7 Television Station speech. The results of the author's research regarding the principle of politeness which consists of 6 maxims, namely 1) the maxims of wisdom that obey total 20 utterances and the maxims of wisdom that violated totaled 5 utterances, 2) maxims generosity that obeys totals 5 utterances and generosity maxims those who violate are 2 utterances, 3) the maxims of respect that comply totaled 23 utterances and the maxims of respect that violated totaled 5 utterances, 4) the maxim of modesty that obeys a total of 16 utterances and the maxim of moderation that violates is 10 utterances, 5) maxims agreement that complies with the total of 10 utterances and maxims of agreement those who violated totaled 4 utterances, 6) the maxim of sympathy that obeyed There are 3 utterances and the maxim of sympathy that violates is 4 speech.
