Abstract

Pekanbaru City Regional Regulation Number 15 of 2001 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation contained in Article 10 paragraphs 1 to 3 indicates that every motorized vehicle, trailer, patch carriage and special vehicle operated on inner city roads must meet the technical requirements for roadworthy in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. In this case the Pekanbaru City Transportation Service has the authority to supervise the feasibility of every mandatory test vehicle operated in Pekanbaru City. The impact of this supervision is also very important for the creation of social order, safety and comfort in traffic, reducing the number of accidents, improving road sign infrastructure, and others. The purpose of this research is to understand how the activities carried out by the Department of Transportation in conducting a feasibility test of goods transport cars. By using qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques, in accordance with the results obtained in the field data in the form of pictures, documents, notes, and interviews. In this case, the inhibiting factor of the problem that occurs is the lack of officers who carry out vehicle feasibility testing which causes people to complain about the length of time testing the vehicle and there are still many officers conducting vehicle feasibility tests manually. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Pekanbaru City Transportation Service in carrying out supervision of the Feasibility Test of Goods Transport Cars (UJI KIR) in Pekanbaru City has carried out the stages in accordance with the rules that have been set and it has been going well. The Pekanbaru City Transportation Service has also played a role in monitoring and testing the feasibility of motorized vehicles.
