Abstract

The purpose of this study \,y&s to determine the musical elements of Gambang's song Sendayuong then in Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The theory use<i in <iescribing the musical eiements of Gambangs last sendayuong song is Jamalus (1988). The matters discussed in this study are. Gambang music rhythm (last sendayuong song), Gambang music melody (last Sendayuong song, Gambang music harmony (last sendayuong scng), Gambang music sfructure (last sendayuong song), Gambang music tempo (last sendayuong song), dynamics of Gambang music (sendayuong last song) last time), the timbre of Gambang music (song sendayuong ago). The approach used is a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques are: observation techniques, interview techniques and documentation techniques. The results of the discussion ebout describing the elements of Gambang music (the song Sendayuong ago) Bangkinans District, Disirict Kampar, Riau Province. From the ciata coilection that iras been coiiected, the writer concludes that the song Gambang (Sendayuong's song then) is Moderato, which means it's around 96-1A4 bpm (beats per-minute). namely P (niano) rvhich means to he suns snftlv and the timbre or tone color (vnice) used in Gambang music (song Sendyuong ago) this is an Idiophone, meaning the sound that comes from the instrument and is played by hitting ii. The xylophone is a melodic instrument that has a tone region between the tenor voice area to the soprano voice area."
