Abstract

The research aims to know the result of the validity and practicality of the learning media development product using powerpoints on sets material. The type of Research and Development refers to the ADDIE model which includes five stages, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate. The data collection instrument uses a validity sheet and the questionnaire of student responses and teacher response with data collection technique is likert scale. The data analysis technique used is the validation analysis and practical analysis of the learning media. The object of research is a learning media using powerpoint on sets of grades VII. The learning media was tested on 32 students of class VII MTsN 1 Bengkalis.The learning media product that develops using powerpoint.Validation data and practicality data are analyzed by determining the average of every assessment. The results of validation data analysis show an average 80,71% with “quite valid” criteria. The assessment of the questionnaire of teacher response on the use of learning media gets a value of 95% with practicality criteria is “very practical”, and an average of the questionnaire of student responses gets a value of 85,39% with “very practical” criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that learning media using powerpoints in the set material is feasible to use and disseminate.
