Abstract

In the field of education, code switching or code mixing is often needed in the delivery of this message which aims to make the interlocutor immediately understand what we are saying, as well as in learning especially in learning a foreign language. This study uses a literature study approach in examining how information about code mixing and switching is in education. The results of this study can be concluded that there are variations in the code used by teachers and students in the form of code mixing and code switching in the learning process. Using code mixing and code switching will make learning a foreign language smoother and will make it easier for students to understand concepts and improve their English vocabulary. The existence of internet access also helps the process of spreading information and communication about code mixing and moving places quickly. The use of English in the modern era requires people to open themselves to new thoughts and ideas that come from all over the world.
