Abstract
Relationship of metacognition motivation and awareness with biology learning outcomes of Class XI IPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir academic year 2021/2022 Dewi Pangestuti 186510474 Final Project. Departement of Biology Education. Faculty of Education and Teaching Islamic University of Riau Advisor: Dra. Suryanti, M.Si ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship between motivation and awareness of metacognition with Biology learning outcomes for class XI science students at SMA Negeri 1 Bangko, Rokan Hilir Regency, for the Academic Year 2021/2022. It was carried out from May to June 2022. The research method used was quantitative with data collection through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Sampling using Simple Random Sampling technique. The number of samples is 125 people. Data analysis using Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis technique. The results obtained that the average student learning motivation is 78.26% in the high category, the average value of students' metacognition awareness is 143.35%, the category is well developed, the average student biology learning outcome is 77.58%. medium category. Furthermore, between learning motivation (X1), metacognitive awareness (X2) and learning outcomes (Y) there is a fairly high correlation with a correlation index (rxy) of 0.77%, the contribution of learning motivation and awareness of metacognition to Biology learning outcomes is 60%. This is also evidenced by the value of tcount (13.50) > ttable (1.979) which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between learning motivation and metacognitive awareness with Biology learning outcomes for class XI science students at SMA Negeri 1 Bangko, Rokan Hilir Regency, for the 2021/2022 Academic Year.
