Abstract

Family Empowerment and Welfare (PKK) is a movement that grows from the bottom to build a prosperous family as the smallest unit or group in society. Family welfare is the main goal of the PKK. This is because the family is the smallest unit of society that will have a major influence on development performance. From this prosperous family, the life of the nation and state will be able to give birth to peace, security, harmony, and peace. Thus, family welfare becomes one of the benchmarks and barometers in development. PKK is a national movement that grew from, by and for the community. with women as the main driving force in creating a happy, prosperous, and independent family. Improving the quality of women is also through programs to develop and utilize the various potentials that exist in women. This study aims to find out how the role of the village government in empowering women through PKK in Lubuk Batu Stay Village, Lubuk Batu Jaya District, Indragiri Hulu Regency and also to find out what the inhibiting factors are in the role of the village government in empowering women through PKK in Lubuk Batu Stay Village, District Lubuk Batu Jaya, Indragiri Hulu Regency. This study uses a qualitative method . Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study were that the implementation of the PKK role program in increasing empowerment in Lubuk Batu Village was less than optimal. The activities carried out are still in the form of briefings and continue with last year's activities, then many women are less willing to participate in the PKK because of their respective busy lives. Of course this should be a consideration for the PKK in Lubuk Batu Jaya Village to be more innovative in inviting and providing better PKK activities, because PKK is a movement for women to be able to participate directly in society, while the inhibiting factors are budget and resources Man
