Abstract

The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of reward and punishment on students’ learning achievement at junior high school RusqahPekanbaru. This research used correlational quantitative. The subject in this research was students at junior high school RuswahPekanbaru. The object in this research was giving reward and punishment on students’ learning achievement at junior high school RusqahPekanbaru. The population in this research involved 130 students and the sample took 41 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Based on data analysis, it was known that there was any influence on giving reward and punishment on students’ learning achievement at junior high school RusqahPekanbaru. It was known from multiple linear regression analysis result that showed significant score 0.000 and 0.000 was smaller than 0.05, and the hypothesis was accepted. The influence score in giving reward and punishment in 0.549 or 54.9% classified into moderate category, it was in 0.40 – 0.599 range that was stated in correlation coefficient interpretation table. Meanwhile others 45.1% was influenced by others factors.
