Abstract

This study aims to identify, and analyze, the inhibiting factors of the Camat's task in coordinating infrastructure development, especially in Air Putih Village, Lubuk Batu Jaya District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative through a survey approach with data collection carried out through direct observation of coordination activities in the sub-district, interviews with predetermined informants, and documentation of research activities. The results of the study found that the sub-district head's task in coordinating infrastructure development in Lubuk Batu Jaya District, Indragiri Hulu district has been running as expected. This indicates that the development that has been carried out in Air Putih Village is in accordance with the wishes and needs of the community, so that infrastructure development is expected to be able to support the line of life in society. The inhibiting factors for the tasks and functions of the sub-district head in coordinating infrastructure development in the Lubuk Batu Jaya subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu district found in the research, are the community's unwillingness to involve themselves in development, circumstances or situations so that budget allocations are reduced or budget rationalization, lack of transparency, and professionalism. village government officials who are still not good at accepting criticism and suggestions.
