Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interaction and main treatment of Petrobiofertil and Gandasil B biological fertilizers on growth and production of purple eggplant on PMK soil. This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, namely the first factor was Petrobiofertil biofertilizer, consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 2.5, 5 and 7 g/polybag. The second factor consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 1.5, 3, and 4.5 g/L of water. So that there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, 48 experimental units were obtained, each experiment (polybag) consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants were used as observation samples with all experimental units consisting of 192 plants. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Petrobiofertil biofertilizer and Gandasil B had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of productive branches, harvest age, number of fruit per fruit, fruit weight per plant and fruit weight per fruit, and fruit length, with the best combination treatment of Petrobiofertil biofertilizer 7 g/polybag of water and Gandasil B 4.5 g/L of water. The main treatment effect of Petrobiofertil biofertilizer was significant on all observation parameters, with the best treatment at 7 g/polybag. The effect of the main treatment of Gandasil B fertilizer was significant on all observation parameters with the best treatment being 4.5 g/L of water.
