Abstract

Public services are one of the main functions of the government as an effort to meet the needs of the community and in the context of implementing the needs of laws and regulations. The Tanjung Karimun District Court or commonly abbreviated as PN TBK is located in the Riau Islands Province. Based on the observations found in the field, it is indicated that the Public Service carried out by the Tanjung Balai Karimun District Court for the trial has an uncertain time and a long wait. The purpose of this study is to find out the general description of the case service at the Tanjung Balai Karimun District Court against the uncertain trial schedule, and to find out the complaints of the community or people who are litigants against the case services at the Tanjung Balai Karimun District Court. The method used is descriptive/qualitative, in this study it is known that there are several people who can be used as informants including 1 member of the Legal Aid Institute (LBH) as a key informant, 1 judge as an informant, and 1 clerk at the Tanjung Balai Karimun District Court as an informant. informants, as well as 2 community members who are interested as informants, who are considered the most competent and know the problems to be studied and are able to provide information that can be developed to obtain data. So it can be concluded that the case service at the Tanjung Balai Karimun District Court has not been going well and there are still many shortcomings, for that there must be a change in the delay in the trial schedule so that there is no delay exceeding the time limit that has been set in terms of managing the trial schedule.
