Abstract

There are so many cases of trafficking in persons because the area is very prone to crime, not only selling children to masculine men, even the smuggling of illegal migrant workers working in neighboring Malaysia is also rampant, the area is directly adjacent to the outside area and there are so many places of entertainment. night. In the Meranti Islands Regency, where cases of trafficking in children and even adults from outside Riau often occur without thinking about the safety and effects of these crimes in the future, especially minors, because it is unfortunate that they should think about the future for their families and families. the general public and traditional Malay marwah in the region. The problem in this research is how the factors of the occurrence of the criminal act of trafficking in persons in the jurisdiction of the Meranti Islands Regency (case study) and the modus operandi of the occurrence of the criminal act of trafficking in persons in the jurisdiction of the Meranti Islands Regency (case study). This thesis research uses observational research and the nature of the research used is analytical descriptive. The data was obtained using a tool in the form of interviews. From the results of research and data analysis conducted by the author in the factors of the occurrence of criminal acts of trafficking in persons in the jurisdiction of the Meranti Islands Regency, there are several factors, namely: Economic Factors, Lack of Harmony Factors in Husband and Wife Relationships, Weak Faith Factors, Education Factors. The modus operandi of the criminal act of trafficking in persons in the jurisdiction of the Meranti Islands Regency is: by adopting or adopting the child (victim) of one of the perpetrators' siblings, both of which the child (victim) has died and the child is an orphan.
