Abstract
This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah Tebing Tinggi. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the suitability of accounting application atSMPMuhammadiyahTebingTinggiwithgenerallyacceptedaccountingprinciples. The research design used is descriptive qualitative means a study thatexplains or analyzes an event that occurs in the object of research. The data usedin this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques inthis study were interviews and direct documentation from SMP MuhammadiyahTebingTinggi.Dataanalysisusesdescriptivemethodwherethismethodisdonetofind out something bydescribing it basedon existing facts. Based on the research that has been done that the accounting process atSMP Muhammadiyah Tebing Tinggi is not complete and is still simple. SMPMuhammadiyah Tebing Tinggi does not make general ledgers, adjusting journalsand notes to financial statements. It can be concluded that the application ofaccountingatSMP Muhammadiyah TebingTinggiisnotinaccordance withgenerallyaccepted accounting principles.
