Abstract

This type of research is descriptive quantitative explanatory research which aims to determine the effect of the use of social media and self-confidence on the interest in entrepreneurship in students of SMK Negeri 1 Kepenuhan, Rokan Hulu Regency. The total population of this study amounted to 58 students with samples using the Total Sampling technique of 58 students in class X and XI majoring in Accounting at SMK Negeri 1 Kepenuhan. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire which was processed using IMB SPSS statistics version 26 for windows. The instrument tests carried out are Validity Test, Reliability Test, Normality Test, Multicollinearity Test, Linearity Test, Multiple Regression Test, Descriptive Analysis, t Test, F Test, and Coefficient of Determination Test. The test results in table F can be seen that the Fcount value of 31.177 with the Ftable value is 3.16 so that the Fcount > Ftable or 31.177 > 3.16, with a significant 0.000 < 0.05 then H 0 is rejected and H 3 is accepted, it can be concluded that Simultaneously, the variable of the use of social media and the variable of self-confidence had a significant effect on the interest in entrepreneurship in the students of SMK Negeri 1 Kepenuhan, Rokan Hulu Regency. The value of the coefficient of determination is found in the R square value of 0.531. This means that the ability of the independent variable in explaining the dependent variable is 53.1%, the remaining 46.9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
