Abstract

The agricultural sector is a source of raw materials for the agricultural product processing industry (agro-industry) which plays a role in creating added value and employment as well as a source of income for the community. This study aims to identify and analyze (1) the Characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles of the Bina Karya banana chip agro-industry, (2) the Use of raw materials, supporting materials, production technology, and production processes, production costs, income, efficiency and added value of banana chip agro-industry Bina Karya, (3) Marketing channels, institutions, and functions, costs, margins, profits, and marketing efficiency of Bina Karya banana chips. This research was conducted by survey method. Respondents taken were banana chip agro-industry entrepreneurs and one worker. The data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) the age of the entrepreneur is 46 years, the length of education is 12 years, the age of the business is 17 years, and the number of family dependents is 2 people. Rp. 1,000,000 which comes from own capital and 1 worker. (2) the technology used in the Bina Karya banana chip agroindustry to produce output is by using simple technology. availability of 10 kg of banana raw materials/production process where the agro-industry production cost is IDR 200,000/production process, with a total production of 8 kg/production process. Gross income Rp. 720,000.00/production process and net income Rp. 320,991.84/production process. RCR of 1.80. The added value obtained is IDR 37,100.00/production process. (3) marketing channels: entrepreneurs-consumers and marketing agencies involved in marketing banana chips are entrepreneurs who sell directly to consumers. marketing functions carried out by entrepreneurs, namely sales, purchases, transportation, storage, capital, risk sharing, standardization, and market information. In the marketing channel, the marketing costs are IDR 450/share, the margin is IDR 40,124 and the marketing profit is IDR 39,674 and the marketing efficiency is 0.50% where the marketing system is efficient.
