Abstract

The phenomenon that occurs at the Religious Court office in Pekanbaru city is that there are still many employees who are negligent in doing their work and the lack of discipline in completing their duties. This is indicated by the number of employees who often procrastinate for a long time. In addition, the workplace spirituality at the Religious Court Office in Pekanbaru city is still considered low or there are still some problems that have not been solved, for example, there is a lack of tolerance among the employees and some employees seldom perform congregational prayer of obligatory prayers. The problem formulation of the study is whether there is an influence of Islamic work ethic and spirituality on the employee work performance at the Religious Court office in Pekanbaru city. The aim of the study is to investigate whether the Islamic work ethic and spirituality have a partial and simultaneous influence on the employee work performance at the Religious Court Office in Pekanbaru city. The subject size of this study is 53 employees who work at the Religious Court Office. The data analysis of the study is perfomed by the SPSS 26. The results of the study show that the respondents' responses to Islamic work ethic and spirituality at work are generally in the category of strongly agree and the results of data analysis by using a partial t-test show that the Islamic work ethic has a significant influence as the results of t- score > t-table (7.661 > 1.675) with a significance value of 0.000 and the results of the spirituality show that t-score > t-table (2.140 > 1.675), it means that there is a significant influence of Islamic work ethic on employee work performance at the Religious Court Office in Pekanbaru city.
