Abstract
This study aims to determine students' difficulties in learning Biology in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru in the 2021/2022 Academic Year. This research is quantitative descriptive. This research method uses a survey method. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire which was distributed to class XI students as well as interviews with class XI Biology teachers. The population in this study were 219 students from 30 statement items. From the results of research that has been conducted on students of SMAN 1 Pekanbaru, the results obtained from health indicators are 73.94%, interest indicators are 77.76%, motivation indicators are 71.99%, family indicators are 76.09%, school indicators are 74.21%, and community indicators 74.24% are all in the fairly high category. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that students' learning difficulties in learning Biology in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru for the 2021/2022 academic year are in the fairly high category with an average value of 74.70%.
