Abstract

The problems discussed in this study are 1) how is the development of animated videos on theme 4 sub-theme 1 for class III SDN 66 Pekanbaru, 2) how are the responses of teachers and students in , 3) How is the validity of developing animated videos in Theme 4 Sub-theme 1 for class III SDN 66 Pekanbaru. This study aims to describe the development of animated videos in Theme 4 Sub-theme 1 for class III SDN 66 Pekanbaru, find out the validity of animated videos developed in Theme 4 Sub-theme 1 for class III SDN 66 Pekanbaru, and determine teacher and student responses to animated videos developed in Theme 4 Sub-theme 1 for class III SDN 66 Pekanbaru. This type of research is development research with reference to the ADDIE. The product developed based on initial research is an animated video on Theme 4 Sub-theme 1 for class III SDN 66 Pekanbaru. The test subjects in this development research were expert validators, namely design experts, linguists, and material experts, as well as third grade students at SDN 66 Pekanbaru and class teachers at SDN 66 Pekanbaru. The technique of collecting data in this study was through validation and teacher response questionnaires. This questionnaire is used to assess the animation videos developed in terms of the physical video, the language used in the development of the animated videos, and in terms of the completeness of the content of the material. Data were analyzed descriptively, quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that, in testing the validity of the animated video media on theme 4 sub-theme 1 for class III SDN 66 Pekanbaru, it was included in the valid category. After the revision, the animated video media is included in the very valid category. Thus, the development of animated videos on theme 4 sub-theme 1 for class III SDN 66 Pekanbaru is suitable for use by students.
